Supporting Action Cancer

Our Nominated Charity

Action Cancer is Northern Ireland’s leading, local cancer charity (Registration Number 104170). Their mission is to save lives and support local people through cancer awareness, prevention, detection and support. Since 2001 Action Cancer has been our nominated charity and we have worked hard to support them in as many ways as possible. All in all we have raised in excess of £130,000.00 for the charity in the years since.

Fundraising Challenges

In 2001, LE Graphics founder David Donaldson took part in his first overseas challenge to raise money for Action Cancer. Trekking the hot and arid Cedarberg mountain range in South Africa. Since then David has taken part in eleven international challenges for action Cancer bringing (or sometimes dragging!) along family and colleagues. Since South Africa he has faced extreme challenges in Namibia, Arctic Sweden, Vietnam, Peru, Iceland, Canada, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Arizona and most recently in 2023 when he completed an epic and gruelling high altitude motorcycle ride from Kathmandu in Nepal to the North Face of Mt Everest in Tibet - a journey of some 2340km.

Annual Dinner Cruise

Our annual Charity Dinner Cruise has become something of a “date to save” in Enniskillen. For many years now we have organised this event with the assistance of our partners at Erne Tours and Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and all of the money raised goes directly to Action Cancer.
The evening starts with a Lough Erne Cruise on board MV Kestrel around the beautiful Island Town of Enniskillen. Guests are then treated to a delicious three course meal in the fantastic Four Star Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel followed by live music and a very popular raffle supported by a massive variety of local businesses.
Follow our dedicated Dinner Cruise Facebook page to be notified of the next cruise date.

Other ways we help

As well as fundraising for Action Cancer and organising events, we support the charity in several other ways.

During Covid 19 we were pleased to be able to make donations of Face Shields, Masks, Sanitiser Liquid and even stock for the Action Cancer Shops. We also made custom build screens and sanitiser stations for the charity at a reduced cost.

When Action Cancer launched the new Big Bus in 2021 we were delighted to be able to make and donate some of the fit-out items such as safety screens, collecting boxes and sanitiser stations.

In addition, we have also worked closely with Action Cancer to facilitate and promote visits of their mobile breast screening unit “The Big Bus” to Enniskillen. We are proud of this association and will continue to provide any support we can to the charity.

Pictured are Jason and David from LE Graphics who have kindly supplied the Covid-19 safety screen at reception, donation boxes and sanitiser station for the new Big Bus, all free of charge. Thank you LE Graphics for being so generous and supporting Action Cancer in this way.
